National Certification Required for all New ARNP's applying to the Board of Nursing::

As of July 1, 2006 all NPs applying for their initial

certification (newly graduated and experienced NP's

moving into Florida) by the Board of Nursing will need

to be certified by a National Certifying Body. There is no requirement for current licensed ARNP's to hold national ceritifcation but over 83% do nationally. It is the hallmark of your eduational preparation and we encourage all to do this.

All who expect to graduate soon as an NP should

start preparing to sign up for your certification exams.

Guess who will be studying her butt off for this test! I hadn't realized that this passed

yet. Anyone taken this test? Which one is better, the AANP or AANC? I've heard that the AANP gives you the results right after the test but you have to wait 4-6 weeks for th other one? I am more inclined to want instant results. Does one have to wait for the results in order to work?? I hope not!!
